Is Upgrading My 5-Year-Old PC Worth It for Gaming?

I'm considering upgrading my build that's nearly five years old. My current setup includes a motherboard, CPU, and RAM that I've had for over seven years. I'm looking at a significant upgrade to components like a new motherboard (MSI Z790 GAMING PLUS), CPU (Intel Core i9-14900K), a fresh GPU (RTX 5070-Ti), and more RAM. Given these changes, will I see noticeable improvements in performance and quality, especially for gaming? I'm curious if the cost is justified, totaling around $3,186 without taxes.

You’ll definitely experience a significant performance boost moving from a 9900K to a 14900K, especially with the GPU upgrade to the 5070-Ti. However, if gaming is your main focus, I’d suggest considering the AMD 7800X3D or 9800X3D instead of the Intel chip. They’re known for better gaming performance.
