Is Upgrading My Dell i7 to an i9 Worth the Trouble?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my Dell Precision 3680 from an i7 14700 to an i9 14900k. The motherboard has a proprietary 10-pin power connector, but my current PSU is 500w with an 8-pin connection. I haven't found any PSUs that support a 10-pin connector, only standard 24-pin ones. If anyone has advice on whether I should go for a 10-24 pin adapter, which one should I consider? Thanks in advance!

Honestly, if your motherboard isn't designed for the power that an i9 uses, I wouldn't recommend this upgrade. It's likely not going to handle the extra energy demands without issues.

The i9 14900k is actually listed as supported for the 3680, though.
