I'm looking to upgrade my Huawei laptop as I'm planning to Hackintosh it. Currently, I have 8GB of RAM and I'm thinking about bumping it up to 16GB. My CPU is an AMD R5 3500U with Radeon Vega Mobile graphics and I've also got a 256GB NVMe SSD that I'm considering upgrading to 1TB. Should I go for the RAM upgrade?

I say go for it! Upgrading is never a bad move. More RAM will help with speed and running multiple programs smoothly.
It really depends on your current usage. If you're not maxing out your 8GB, you might not feel a big difference with 16GB. But with many applications being more demanding, you may find 8GB limiting. If you often run out of memory, it’s a smart upgrade. Plus, increasing storage can prevent crashes when your RAM is full by allowing more space for virtual memory.
Definitely consider upgrading if you've noticed slow performance. More RAM will speed things up, especially for multitasking or demanding tasks, and having extra SSD space won't hurt either!
Upgrading your RAM will definitely make a noticeable difference in performance, especially if you're planning to run more demanding applications with Hackintosh. The SSD upgrade is good too, but prioritize RAM if multitasking is your goal.
