Is Upgrading to a 1050 TI from a 750 TI Worth It?

I'm currently using a Ryzen 5600G processor with 16GB of RAM at 3200MHz, and I've got a 750 TI graphics card. My PC has been stuttering a lot, and I'm looking for a solid upgrade that will last me for the next 2-3 years. A friend is selling me his 1050 TI for $40 along with a PSU for $17 since my current PSU can't handle the upgrade. I mainly focus on getting good FPS rather than high graphics since I play competitively. I've heard that upgrading could potentially double my FPS. So, is this upgrade worth it?

Wait, what's the selling price? For a 1050 TI, if it's more than $20, that's way too much. It’s not worth it unless you're really desperate.

Honestly, I wouldn’t go for the 1050 TI. It was outdated when it was launched, and these days, you can't really run decent games on it anymore. Better to save for something more powerful if you can manage.

As someone who also streams, I can say that the 750 TI is really underwhelming for that kind of workload. The 1050 TI will definitely provide better performance, and it's a solid choice for esports titles without worrying about bottlenecks.

Your setup with the 5600G should work fine with the 1050 TI. If you're on a tight budget but can save a bit more, consider looking for something in the $100 range for more future-proofing. However, if this is your budget, then go for it—it's a decent offer!

Totally! At that price, it's a smart move. Just keep an eye out for better deals if you're patient.

Absolutely! Upgrading from the 750 TI to a 1050 TI can significantly boost your performance, especially for streaming. For less than the price of a new game, you're getting a great deal—double the performance is nothing to sneeze at!
