Is Upgrading to a Second-Hand 5700X3D Worth It?

Hey everyone! I'm considering whether it's a good idea to spend around £300 on a second-hand 5700X3D. Recently, I bought a 5070 Ti, but I feel like my current 5600X is holding it back, especially when it comes to 1% lows in performance. I play at 1440p and I'm not looking to upgrade to AM5 because of the high DDR5 RAM prices. What do you all think about this upgrade?

Have you checked if XMP is enabled in your BIOS? You might want to download CPU-Z to see your RAM speeds; it could make a difference!

Yes, it's enabled!

For around the same price, you could consider getting an i5 14600KF and an LGA1700 motherboard instead. It'll likely give you better performance overall.

Wouldn't I also need a decent cooler for that CPU? Any recommendations for a motherboard?

I think a 7500X3D for about £220 could be a better option. You could sell your current CPU, motherboard, and RAM to help fund a B650/B850 and either 32GB or 16GB of DDR5 RAM. Even the 7500F CPU might be worth considering!
