Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my PC and could really use your advice. I'm on a tight budget since I live in a third-world country where GPU prices are pretty steep compared to the U.S. Here are my current specs: GPU: GTX 1650, CPU: i5-10400F, RAM: 16GB, Motherboard: H410M S2, PSU: 550W. Gaming requirements are increasing, and I found a used RTX 3070 for about $370 (in USD). I'd also need a new power supply for $70, and I plan on getting a SATA SSD for around $100. Is the RTX 3070 still a solid choice for 1080p gaming in 2025? I'd really appreciate any insights, especially from those who've made similar upgrades or are familiar with the higher GPU prices in regions like mine. Thanks!

100% go for the 3070 if you can! It’s still relevant for 1080p and even performs well at 1440p. You'll definitely notice the performance boost.
The RTX 3070 is still an excellent choice for 1080p gaming! It will definitely be a huge upgrade from your GTX 1650. If you're primarily gaming, you'll notice a big difference in performance with modern titles. Just make sure your new PSU can handle the load!
Going from a GTX 1650 to an RTX 3070 is going to feel like night and day in terms of graphics! You’ll enjoy playing at higher settings and better frame rates. Definitely worth it!
While the 3070 is a solid pick, there may be alternative GPUs that could offer similar performance at a lower price. I live in a similar market and have found some options that might be worth considering.
Awesome! What alternatives would you recommend for a budget-friendly upgrade?
That's great to hear! How does it compare to other GPUs available now?
