Is Upgrading to an RTX 5060 Ti a Smart Move for My Gaming PC?

Hey there! I've been using my Medion PC with an AMD Ryzen 7 Pro, 32GB of RAM, and an RTX 2060 Super for a few years now. While it's served me well, I'm finding it struggles with more demanding games, especially since I game at 5760x1080 and want to explore VR. I'm into titles like Microsoft Flight Simulator (considering switching to MFS2024, but my current GPU can't handle it), Assetto Corsa, BeamNG, and Hell Let Loose, so I'm eager for something more powerful and future-proof. I found an MSI GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Ventus 2X with 16GB of VRAM for €440, or an Inno3D GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 Twin 2X for €414. This upgrade would double my VRAM. Do you think this is worth it? It's my first time upgrading anything in my PC, so I'm a bit lost!

Have you looked into how much VRAM you're actually using in your games? It might give you a better idea of whether you really need the upgrade.

Honestly, I just checked, and with my 2060 Super, I'm getting 17 fps. My VRAM usage is at 7 GB, and my GPU hits about 88 degrees Celsius. It's clear I need more power!

The RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB of VRAM would be a solid upgrade, especially considering your gaming at 5760x1080. Just a heads up though, it’s better suited for a 1440p monitor. If you're upgrading your GPU, you might want to think about getting a new monitor as well to really harness its power!
