Hey everyone! I'm currently using a GTX 1070 and thinking about upgrading to an RTX 5070. My CPU is an i5-10400, and I'm hoping to keep it for a while. My goal is to play new games at 1440p with high graphics settings. Do you think this upgrade is a good investment? If yes, what brands would you recommend? Also, should I go for a two or three-fan model? Thanks a lot!

I’ve had my RTX 3070 Ti since 2021, and I’m considering moving to a 5070. I’m not sure if it’s worth spending around $600 for a bump when my 3070 Ti is working perfectly fine. Just something to think about!
The RTX 5070 is definitely a worthy upgrade, especially for 1440p. However, I'm wondering if 12GB of VRAM will be sufficient if you plan on keeping it for a long time. If you're okay with spending a bit more, consider going for the 5070 Ti for better longevity. Alternatively, if you're open to AMD, the 9070 could be a decent option, although I prefer Nvidia for their drivers and features.
Both the 9060 XT (16GB) and the RTX 5070 would serve you well, but keep in mind that your i5-10400 might hold you back in some games at higher settings. Just something to consider if you're not hitting the performance you're expecting.
I saw some pretty good deals on 5060 TIs and 5070s recently at Walmart, so it might be worth checking there for some bargains and see if they have any good sales.
The RTX 5070 is a solid choice for 1440p gaming, offering a good balance between price and performance. My advice would be to pick whichever model is the cheapest. While triple fan versions might have slightly better cooling capabilities, the 5070 itself runs pretty cool and is quite power-efficient.
