I'm looking to build a new PC with a used RTX 3080 that I found for a great price. This will be my first experience with Linux, and I understand that Nvidia GPUs can sometimes have compatibility issues on this OS. My main goals for the PC are gaming and exploring AI and machine learning, and since I heard that Nvidia's CUDA is advantageous for AI over AMD GPUs, I'm hoping to get some advice. Any thoughts or experiences you could share would be super helpful. Thanks!

I've had a really smooth experience using ComfyUI for AI with my 3090ti on Ubuntu; it's even faster than on Windows, and I didn't have to do any complicated setups. However, for gaming, I stick to Windows since some EA games don’t work on Linux due to anti-cheat issues, even single-player games. If I'm wrong about this, I'd appreciate a correction!

Are you saying even their single-player games can't run on Linux?
