I've received a quote from a trustworthy vendor regarding Veeam pricing as we look to replace our old backup solution. I was under the impression that Veeam would be a more budget-friendly option, but the pricing I got seems significantly higher than what we currently pay. We have around 200 VMware virtual machines and the quote includes:
- 20 Veeam Data Platform Advanced Universal Subscription Licenses (includes Enterprise Plus Edition features) for a total of about $28,462.40 for one year.
I'm wondering if we've gotten the wrong quote or if Veeam's prices have really increased this much, especially since I thought they were known for being cost-effective.

Veeam has always been more on the premium side compared to some budget solutions. Honestly, $28K doesn't sound crazy for what you're getting, especially when you’ve got around 200 VMs. They’ve raised their prices quite a bit in the last few years, though, so it’s no surprise that the costs seem higher now.

That's surprising to hear! I've always thought Veeam was pretty cheap too. But with their licensing changes, it seems like they're following the trend of increasing prices like many others.
