Is Water Cooling Worth It for My CPU?

I'm exploring cooling options for my PC and noticed that a 280mm water cooler is only about €15 more expensive than a good CPU tower cooler with two fans. I'm considering the ID-COOLING FX240 INF in white since it fits my budget and aesthetic preferences. However, I'm wondering if I really need water cooling in the first place. Also, how safe are these affordable water coolers nowadays? For reference, the Peerless Assassin 120 SE dissipates about 240 watts and would work fine for my 9700/9800X3D, plus it's guaranteed to be leak-proof. My case options are either the NZXT H6 Flow White or the LIAN LI PC-O11S Mini TG Snow White, both of which I've heard are well-suited for water cooling setups.

Honestly, you probably don’t need it. Most people get AIO (all-in-one) coolers for the looks more than the need for better cooling. For gaming, the 9800X3D stays pretty cool, running under 100W, so a solid air cooler like the Peerless Assassin can handle it just fine. Concerning leaks, modern coolers are quite reliable and the chances of a leak are minimal.
