At my company, we primarily use HP devices, and almost all of them run on Windows 10. Management even insists on downgrading new devices to Windows 10. However, we're facing a lot of issues since there won't be any new drivers for hardware on Windows 10 after a certain point. We've already had some laptops where many devices stopped working after the downgrade, forcing us to switch to Windows 11 later on. We're experiencing driver problems with devices that originally came with Windows 10, including issues with Bluetooth and sound, as well as random device crashes. I'm worried because Windows 10 will reach its end of life in 2025, and I wonder if the problems we're experiencing now are just the beginning. Has anyone faced similar issues or have any advice?

Honestly, downgrading to Windows 10 at this point seems like a recipe for disaster. You're heading towards a point where support for the OS will be non-existent. Upgrading makes more sense, especially since devices designed for Windows 11 will have better driver support. Management might want to rethink their strategy before it becomes a bigger problem.
Right? It's baffling that they’re sticking to such an old OS. It’s like waiting for a train that isn’t coming.
You're absolutely right to be concerned. Windows 10 is hitting the end of its lifecycle, and many devices won’t have proper support anymore. Let your management know that the longer they wait to upgrade, the more problems they'll face. It's better to transition while they still can!
But if they don’t listen, then what? You could really be left in a tough spot.
Absolutely, informing management is key! They might just need a nudge to see the reality of the situation.
Downgrading systems this late in the game can be very risky, especially if the hardware isn't fully compatible with older drivers. It's often better to push for upgrades rather than downgrades. If they absolutely require Windows 10, at least check if HP has a supported image through their HPIA tool to help mitigate some of these driver issues.
The HPIA tool is definitely worth a look; it might save a lot of trouble.
Great idea! If they have a supported image, it could alleviate some of the headaches.
Totally agree! If they keep insisting on Windows 10, they’re just setting everyone up for failure.
