I've been using Linux Mint for about six months now, but recently had to boot into Windows and noticed it makes my laptop run a lot hotter. With a winter storm approaching, I might stick with Windows just to stay warm. Are there any Linux distributions that can generate similar warmth?

Consider getting a heated keyboard; they’re great for those cold days!
How about using ffmpeg for video encoding? You can also stress test your GPU while compressing files. Instant warmth!
I booted into Windows after a long break to fix a UEFI partition and man, it was so sluggish compared to Linux. I've got to say, it really made me ponder how I used to tolerate that!
Totally get that! It’s like dragging a heavy load after getting used to a smooth ride with Linux.
Or, you could run a CPU/GPU stress test. Or play games like Minecraft—I hear it runs fine under WINE for Linux too!
Yeah, I think the Java version has Linux support!
You could try playing Minecraft! It's a great way to get your system heating up fast with all the action going on.

Right? I’m feeling the warmth already!
