Issue with VRAM usage on new PC build

Hey guys, I recently built a new PC with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 64GB of 6000MHz RAM, and I'm still using my old 3070 Aorus Master until I can afford a 5080. I've noticed something strange: when I was using my Intel i7-9700k, the GPU never used more than 6GB of VRAM at the same in-game settings. Now, it's hitting 7.5-8GB, which is really affecting my performance. My frame rates are dropping from around 160FPS to 20-30, and then it locks to 60 for a couple of minutes. After a while, the VRAM usage goes back down to 6GB and the FPS returns to 160. I'm gaming on a 1440p 165Hz monitor, so if you need more info to help troubleshoot, just let me know!

Have you checked if you're using the same settings as before? Sometimes even small changes in graphics settings can cause shifts in VRAM usage. Also, is your monitor setup different? That can affect things too!

Yeah, same settings and all, and my monitor is the same too. All drivers are updated.

What games are you experiencing this in? It could be specific to certain titles based on how well they manage VRAM.

I'm seeing it mostly in Diablo 4 and Forza Horizon 5, but oddly enough, it doesn't happen in Rainbow Six Siege.
