Issues Getting My New ASUS TUF 5080 to Work

I recently upgraded from a 2070 to an ASUS TUF 5080, but I'm having trouble getting a signal. My setup was working fine with the 2070, but now I can't even see the BIOS screen with the new GPU. I've plugged in all the PCIe cables, including a new adapter since my PSU only had 2 cables for it. I've also updated my BIOS and changed the PCIe speed in the BIOS settings to Gen3 since Gen4 isn't available on my motherboard. Everything seems to be connected as the red light on the GPU turns on and then disappears when I power it up. I've tried a clean driver install using DDU in safe mode, but nothing has worked so far. I'm starting to wonder if there's a compatibility issue or something I might have missed. My specs are: CPU: i9-10900K, Motherboard: NZXT N7 Z490, RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR4 3600MHz CL18, PSU: Corsair HXi 850W. I've noticed a red light under the 'BOOT' label on my motherboard, which seems concerning since the GPU is quite large. Any help would be appreciated!

It could be a driver issue rather than hardware. When I had a similar problem years ago, uninstalling all Nvidia drivers completely before installing the new GPU fixed it for me. Try using DDU to do a thorough uninstall with the old card still in.

I did use DDU before switching to the 5080. Still doesn't work for me now.

Double-check to make sure your monitor cable is connected to the GPU and not the motherboard. Sometimes it can be switched, and that can cause issues.

I've already checked that! I tried both options, but no signal either way.

Before assuming the 5080 is faulty, you might want to check for any BIOS settings regarding PCIe compatibility. Sometimes, legacy options or reset settings can help.

Have you tested the 2070 again after trying the 5080? If it works right away after swapping, that suggests the new GPU might be DOA (Dead on Arrival).

Yeah, the 2070 works every time I swap it back. It's so frustrating!
