I've been struggling with my Samsung S22 Ultra since I got it in 2023. I can't seem to get it recognized as a device when I try to import photos, whether I'm connecting it to my computer or various hard drives. It's really frustrating because I specifically chose this phone for its storage and photography features after a sales rep recommended it. I've tried everything—from multiple devices to getting my tech-savvy boyfriend to help out. Uploading photos to Google Photos works temporarily, but if I delete them from my phone's gallery, they disappear from Google Photos too. With 115GB of photos and videos, my friends and family say I just need to get a new phone since I'm out of storage, but that wouldn't help me with my current photo issue. My mom suggested emailing the photos, but that's impractical since it will take ages and lower the quality. Is anyone else having this problem with the S22 Ultra, and how can I fix it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried switching out the USB cable? Sometimes the cable can be the issue. Also, have you thought about using a file transfer app like LocalSend or Quick Share? It could bypass the need to connect directly to a hard drive or computer, making things a bit easier for large file transfers.

I didn’t realize LocalSend could handle that many files. Have you had success with it for large transfers before?
