I've put together a new PC with an ASUS ROG B650e-I motherboard, which has a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port that's supposed to support DisplayPort. I've connected it to my Philips ultrawide monitor that has a Type C input. When I connect the monitor to the motherboard port, I can run some games like Pathfinder Kingmaker smoothly at 100 FPS in fullscreen. However, when I try to play more demanding games like Warframe, the game freezes on the loading screen, and Ghostrunner shows just a black screen. If I connect the monitor directly to the GPU using a DisplayPort cable, it works perfectly. I'm hoping to use the Type C connection to streamline my setup, so any advice would be appreciated!

It sounds like you might be using the wrong Type C port, as there are often multiple ports with different capabilities. Check to see if both of your Type C Gen2x2 ports are clearly labeled, because only one of them might support Alt Mode for video. Make sure you're plugged into the right one!
If that doesn't help, you might want to do a BIOS update and make sure all your chipset drivers are up to date. This can sometimes resolve weird compatibility issues.
