I'm using Bartender 10.0 SR2 from Seagull Scientific to print labels, but since the Windows 11 cumulative update in August 2025, I've encountered a problem with our print station and labels that utilize VBScript. When I attempt to print a label, I receive an error message stating: **'One or more objects requires the use of Visual Basic scripting. You currently have installed a version of Visual Basic scripting earlier than version 2.0. BarTender requires Visual Basic scripting 2.0 or greater. Please run the BarTender setup program to install the correct version of Visual Basic scripting.'** It appears that the update changed the VBScript version from 5.812.10240.16384 to 10.0.26100.4768. Bartender seems to be checking just the first digit of the version and thus reads it as lower than 2, when in fact it's a newer version. Does anyone know how Bartender checks the VBScript version, or is there a hack to make it read the higher version number while we wait to upgrade Bartender after completing our MRP software switch from AX 2009 to D365? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I heard that VBScript is on its way out in upcoming Windows versions. Using it in 2025 might not be the best plan, honestly. There are discussions about fully removing it from the OS.
You might want to consider filing a support request with Seagull, but if you’re out of support for your version, that could be tricky.

Yeah, that's a bummer! I checked and I think your version is indeed end-of-life, so support might not be an option right now.
