I'm having trouble with my MSI B850 GAMING PLUS WIFI motherboard. When I connect to the internet via Ethernet, my system isn't able to obtain an IPv4 address and just automatically assigns an address like 169.254.17.160, which means I'm not connected to the internet at all. I've already updated both the LAN driver and all other chipset/system drivers, but the problem is still happening.

I've seen a lot of these MSI B850 boards with Ethernet issues in my shop lately. It got so common that I ended up buying some 2.5gb Ethernet cards just to bypass the problem. You might want to search online for similar complaints with this motherboard, as it seems like a widespread issue.
It sounds like your Ethernet cable and modem are fine since they work perfectly on another device. Have you tried manually assigning an IP address? That might help you get connected again.
The address you’re getting indicates trouble in obtaining an IP. Do you know the range of IPs your router can give out? It might be worth trying to assign a static IP to your computer to see if that helps, just to check if your router is the problem.
