I recently got a capture card for my laptop, thinking it would be a fun addition to my setup. I've tested the card and it seems to work, but I'm running into some frustrating issues with my HDMI 2.1 to DisplayPort 1.4 cable. My monitor is 4K wide but only 1440p tall, which complicates things. When I connect the cable to the monitor, it doesn't work at all, and when I try using it with my capture card, I can get slightly further but still encounter problems. The capture card limits me to 4K at 30 frames per second, while using it with my monitor caps me at 1080p at 100 frames per second. Does anyone know what might be going wrong here?

What model of capture card are you using? Some models have limitations on the resolutions they can output depending on the connection type.
It sounds like your monitor's resolution settings might not be set correctly, especially if it's a 4K wide but 1440p tall setup. Double-check the settings in your laptop's display options to ensure you're utilizing the full capabilities of your monitor.

I'm using the Anyoyo 4k60, which I think is also called vz pro006. Maybe that's part of the issue?
