Issues with Installing a Second GPU: Driver Conflicts

Hey there! I'm looking to expand beyond the 4-monitor limit of my RTX 4070Ti and thought a budget-friendly graphics card would be the solution. I'm working on a D&D setup and want all monitors connected to a single computer instead of juggling a separate laptop. My motherboard, the TUF Gaming X570-PLUS WiFi, lacks a built-in GPU, so an integrated option isn't available for me.

I recently purchased a GIGABYTE GT 710, but after installation, my RTX 4070Ti stopped displaying my existing monitors and the system switched to the GT. I spotted a Code 31 error in Device Manager stating that Windows couldn't load the necessary drivers. After downloading the latest RTX driver from ASUS, I got it working again, but then the GT 710 started throwing the same error. I tried updating the GT's driver, but Windows insists I have the latest version. When I attempted to manually install the driver for the GT710—it crashed my RTX and I had to reinstall its driver, creating a cycle of issues. Now, I'm at a loss. Has anyone experienced this and can you share any advice? Perhaps I should have opted for a Radeon GPU instead? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

You might run into driver conflicts here because the support for the GT 710 has ended. You could try installing any available drivers that previously supported the card, but even then, it might not let you since Nvidia doesn't handle multiple driver versions simultaneously. Switching to a card that's still supported by modern drivers might be your best bet.

I totally get that! Do you know if there's a list available that shows which Nvidia cards are currently supported?
