I recently started using Passkey with some customers, and everything was running smoothly with various devices like Windows Hello for Business and Microsoft Authenticator. However, I've encountered a snag with a client who only has the Microsoft Authenticator available, without Windows Hello for Business.
When trying to log into Outlook Classic, the only option presented is a login window for hardware tokens. This interface is completely different from what I've seen elsewhere, and I can't find a way to switch to QR code or Bluetooth login like every other Microsoft app and browser does. Why is Outlook Classic so different?
I've scoured for solutions besides relying on Windows Hello for Business, but the client has some legacy plugins that make it tough. I also learned that some users are still on Windows 10 Extended Support, which seems to be part of the issue. Just looking for answers or possible workarounds!

Are you referring to the Passkey setup via MS Authenticator? I tried logging into Outlook Classic with the Authenticator app and had no issues at all. I used the QR code and Bluetooth options without a hitch. What version of Outlook Classic are you on? We have users on M365 Business Premium with Outlook 365. Let me know how you manage the setup because I couldn't nail it down earlier, especially on Windows 10 Extended Support. I’ll give it another go on Windows 11!

Yes, I’m specifically asking about that. It's tricky—after your message, I realized it might be only users with Windows 10 experiencing this issue. We recently placed an order for new setups, so that should help!
