Issues with Posting After Upgrading My GPU

Hey everyone! I recently upgraded from a 3060 to a 5070 graphics card. After installing the new drivers and using it for a bit, I started experiencing some freezing and encountered 0xef errors, mostly when the system was idle. I ran CrystalDiskInfo to check my disk health, and everything seemed fine with my boot drive and other SSDs. To troubleshoot, I reseated the GPU in case there was a connectivity issue. However, now my PC isn't posting and the motherboard light indicates a GPU error. I even swapped the PCIe slot to rule out damage, but it still won't post. I can't get into BIOS either, no matter how many times I spam F2. My monitor shows no signal via DisplayPort, but I can confirm the PC is powering up because my keyboard and mouse light up as usual. My PSU should have enough power for everything too.

It sounds like a frustrating situation! First off, make sure to reset the CMOS. Sometimes, after swapping hardware, connections can get a bit wonky. Also, double-check that your RAM is seated properly since it can easily loosen during hardware swaps.

I just reset the CMOS and reseated the RAM, and the PC turned on and went through some checks. But I'm still stuck on a white light (Asus motherboard). Any thoughts on what that could mean?

Are all your case fans spinning when you try to boot up? And what about the fans on the 5070? It's important to confirm that everything is getting power. Sometimes, the GPU might not be getting enough juice, especially after reseating.

All the case fans are spinning, but the 5070 fans aren't. I didn't check that before, so thanks for the reminder! The GPU worked fine before the reseat, but I'm starting to wonder if it might have gotten damaged.
