Issues with Second Monitor Not Displaying via DisplayPort Extension

Hey everyone! I've got a small form factor case that needs some DisplayPort extensions. My main monitor is working perfectly, but when I connect my second monitor through an extension, it doesn't display anything and even removes my access to the Nvidia Control Panel settings. The second monitor does work fine when I plug it directly into the GPU, and I've tested both monitors with the extensions without any issues. I've even tried using DDU, but I'm starting to wonder if I just need a new monitor. The monitor that's causing trouble is an older Samsung S22E450. Any insights would be really appreciated!

You could try plugging your main monitor into the extension and connecting the second monitor directly to the GPU. If that setup works, then you can just keep it that way and position them however you prefer in Windows. If it doesn't work, it seems like there might be a conflict when using both a monitor and an extension together.

Thanks for the tip! I tried your suggestion and it actually worked with that setup. However, my case (an SUPD Meshroom S V2) requires the extension to be positioned correctly. Do you think I could avoid the conflict by using a monitor that connects via HDMI instead? I don’t have one on hand right now, but I could grab one if needed.

Also, I’m thinking about just getting a properly angled DisplayPort cable instead of using an extension for that monitor. What do you think?
