I recently got a new computer and spent a whole week adding all my CDs and MP3s to iTunes. Now, I'm having trouble syncing my music library to my iPhone 16. I've already tried a bunch of troubleshooting steps like uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, going through the Apple Devices installation, and changing cables and USB ports. When I connect my iPhone, it charges and I get a Windows alert, but it doesn't show up in 'This PC'. My phone asks if I want to trust the computer, and I click yes. This used to work without any issues. I'm really stuck here and would appreciate any help!

If you're using iOS 18.5 on your iPhone and want to sync music via USB-C, you'll need to have the Apple Music app installed as well, alongside iTunes. Give that a shot!
Also, make sure you're using the latest version of iTunes. Sometimes just updating can solve compatibility issues.
Make sure to completely remove any other Apple apps like Apple Music, Apple TV, and Apple Devices before trying to use iTunes. After uninstalling, restart your PC to make sure everything is fresh and try again.
Have you considered subscribing to iTunes Match? It costs about $25 per year and can sync your music library effortlessly both ways. Plus, if there are any matching songs, Apple will upgrade them to the highest quality for you. It might save you a lot of hassle!
I tried installing Apple Music, but it still doesn't recognize my phone.
