I've been experiencing a frustrating issue with my laptop where it freezes every 5 minutes. This problem occurs most noticeably while I'm watching videos on Chrome or Edge, playing games, or listening to music on Spotify. During the freeze, the screen locks up, the audio distorts into a strange frequency, and then after about 1 or 2 seconds, everything goes back to normal. I've timed it, and it happens precisely every 300 seconds. When using Edge for work, it's harder to notice since there's no audio or moving graphics, but something is definitely causing this freeze at that interval. I've updated my drivers, and nothing seems off in Task Scheduler. I really need some advice on how to troubleshoot this. Thanks in advance!

Are you using an external USB HDD? Those can sometimes cause issues that lead to freezes.
Just a heads up, if you're planning to make any changes to your BIOS settings or disk setup, back up your data first! Always better to be safe.
Have you checked the Event Viewer for any errors or warnings? They might give you a clue about what's going on. Also, take a look at the task manager and monitor the CPU and GPU performance while the freeze happens—something might be spiking during those moments.
I've seen lots of warnings, but nothing consistently happening every 300 seconds. No performance spikes under CPU or GPU either.

No, I'm not using any external hard drives.
