Hey everyone, I had my laptop formatted last week due to an adware virus, and ever since I got it back, I've been facing several issues. The battery drains from full to zero when I unplug it, the power button only works when it's charging, and I'm getting constant blue screens with restart problems. Plus, whenever I close the lid or turn it off using the button, it just shuts down right away. My laptop was working perfectly fine before the formatting. Can anyone help me figure out if this is fixable?

It sounds like a battery problem. If the power settings don’t fix the shutting down when you close the lid or turn it off, the battery might need to be replaced. For the blue screens, if you have stop codes, that’ll help in diagnosing the problem further. Have you tried looking those up?
To troubleshoot the blue screens, you should start by checking if there are any crash dump files. If you can access Windows, look in C:WindowsMinidump for any files. Zipping and uploading those could help pinpoint the issue. If you haven't already, try adjusting your power settings to see if that resolves the issues with the button and lid. There may be specific settings that control how the laptop behaves in those situations.
Honestly, I think you should contact the technician who formatted your laptop. Since you paid for the service, it’s reasonable to ask them to fix these problems for you. They might have accidentally messed something up during the format.
