Laptop Won’t Charge After Power Outage – What Should I Do?

Hi everyone! A power outage just hit my place for a brief moment, but since then, my laptop hasn't been charging. I plug it into a power strip that works fine (my lamp is on), yet the laptop doesn't recognize the charger at all; it doesn't even show that it's plugged in. I've already tried unplugging and re-plugging everything, including a different charger, but nothing seems to help. I have a Dell gaming laptop with Windows, but I can't get it to stay on long enough to check the specs. Any tips on what I should do?

Hey! You might want to try unplugging the charger for a bit before plugging it back in. Sometimes, electronics have self-resetting fuses that need a little time without power to reset. If that doesn’t do the trick, it could be that something in your power supply is damaged.

Totally agree! I've seen this happen quite often in my IT job.
