Hey everyone! I just installed Linux Mint and I'm diving into customizing it and playing some games. I'm encountering a couple of issues that I hope you can help with!
Here are my specs: 7600 x CPU, 4070 GPU, and 32GB DDR5 RAM.
First off, I've been testing a few games like Overwatch, The Finals, Kovaaks, and Hades. I'm getting significantly lower FPS in The Finals compared to the others, and I'm curious if this is a game-specific issue or if it's something I should expect with other games on Linux. Is there any fix or tweak I can do to improve the performance?
Also, I tried switching from the Cinnamon desktop environment to Sway, but I can't log in. It just briefly loads and then clears my password field. Does anyone know a fix for this?

It sounds like some users are having varied FPS results with The Finals on Linux. You might need to tweak your settings a bit to improve performance. It could also help to check your GPU, CPU, and RAM usage to spot any potential bottlenecks. As for Sway, it’s a different beast than Cinnamon and requires some manual configuration in .config files. If you’re stuck logging in, you might want to check the LightDM logs in /var/log/lightdm/ for any error messages that could help debug the issue.
Sorry for the late reply! Yes, I found the lightdm.log file, but I can only access it via nano with sudo. I noticed a warning about 'no session c3 found'—do you think that could be causing the login issue?
