I'm searching for a good brand of 5GHz WiFi dongle that is compatible with Ubuntu. Can anyone recommend any models?

When you say 5G, do you mean the 5GHz band for WiFi? If so, there are some solid options out there! The BrosTrend models are highly recommended, like the 1200Mbps model or the newer WiFi 6E version. Both should work well with Ubuntu. Other good alternatives include the Edup and Panda dongles. However, if you're looking for the best performance, consider installing an internal card like the Intel AX210. It usually outperforms USB dongles and is a great fit for desktops and laptops alike.

Just to clarify, are you looking for something that connects to the 5G mobile networks or the 5GHz WiFi band? There’s a big difference, and that could change your options quite a bit!
