Hey there! I'm a computer science student and I'm on the hunt for a Linux distribution that supports running Python libraries smoothly. I recently switched from Windows 10 and want a setup that won't stress me out with missing essential tools while I keep up with my studies. Any recommendations?

As long as you need Python libraries, any distro will do just fine. You can use pip or even `uv`, which is a modern replacement for pip, on both Windows and Linux without any issues!

If you're new to Linux, I'd suggest going with Mint since it feels more familiar or Ubuntu, which has tons of support from the community. Both are great options for getting started.

Honestly, any distro should work great for you! I've used Ubuntu, Fedora, and Manjaro, and they’re all solid choices. The core system is pretty much the same; it just comes down to the package managers and desktop environments you prefer.

Mint is definitely worth a try! I personally use Arch, but for beginners, Mint or Ubuntu would be more friendly.

Check out Mint, Ubuntu, or Fedora KDE Plasma. Just pick based on which UI you like better. All three are among the most popular out there and have good support, so you can't really go wrong.
