Hey everyone! I'm totally new to the world of PCs and could use some guidance. I want to get a PC mainly for playing games on Steam, especially those that I can't access on my PS5. I'm not looking to run anything too demanding, just some lighter games and indie titles like Stalker, Fallout: New Vegas, and Ultrakill.
My budget is around $650 to $700, but I'm open to adjusting it a bit if needed. I'm considering building the PC myself, though I don't have any experience with that, so I'm also okay with a pre-built option if it's easier. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!

It's tough to find a good budget PC right now, especially with RAM prices being so high lately. I recommend checking out places like Facebook Marketplace for used PCs. You might score a decent rig for your budget, but keep in mind, the prices for good builds are rising all the time! If you really want one, try to grab it soon before prices go up even more.
Yeah, RAM costs are kind of outrageous right now. Just last year, I bought 32GB of RAM for $80, and now that same set is about $300. It's crazy!
If you're willing to look for used parts, check for a PC with an RTX 3060, Ryzen 5000 CPU, 1TB SSD, and at least 16GB RAM. You could probably find something that fits your budget and would easily handle light gaming. Building something new right now is a bit tricky due to RAM prices, so a used PC might be a better bet for you.
Thanks for the tip! Any specific places you recommend for finding those used parts?

Is it really that much for a PC for the games I mentioned? What would the price range be if I were flexible with my budget?
