We're a small team searching for a free and simple ticketing system to manage our tasks. Ideally, we need a platform that allows us to add internal notes, merge duplicate tickets, tag issues, and manage both emails and chats in one place. We're not looking for complex features—just something that's clear, easy to use, and keeps us organized. Any recommendations?

I found Spiceworks to be a pretty robust ticketing tool—it's free and gets the job done! It’s been a while since I last used it, but the cloud version is decent for basic ticket tracking, even if it has some ads.
GLPI is another free, open-source option. It’s more than just a ticketing system—it's got asset management features that can really enhance your workflow, especially if you want to connect tickets with people or devices.
Have you checked out Osticket? If you're okay with hosting it yourself, it's super easy to set up and highly customizable!
Zammad is worth a look as a free self-hosted option. It also has paid support if you need it later. Just a heads up, Freshdesk used to have a free tier but they've discontinued it recently, and now it starts at $15 per agent monthly.
I've heard HESK is also a solid choice.
