I'm in need of a Linux distribution that uses 2GB of RAM or less for my computer, not for a virtual machine. I want to run VirtualBox with more RAM allocated, ideally around 6GB, while also using OBS. I prefer a distro that's based on .deb packages since I'm somewhat new to Linux and need something that's easy to handle.

You might want to try using Debian. It's a solid choice and you can set your VM with 2GB of RAM while OBS runs fine. Plus, it's pretty beginner-friendly!
I personally use Puppy Linux Bookworm x86_64, and it runs smoothly on 2GB of RAM. It’s lightweight and very responsive, so you might want to give that a shot.
Check out antiX 23! It's designed to run on older machines and crams everything into just 1.5GB, so it should work perfectly for your needs.
