Looking for a Linux-Compatible Mouse with Full Button Remapping

I'm currently using a Razer Basilisk v2, which I love for its shape and feel, but I'm facing a big issue: I can't reprogram its buttons in Linux. While Input Remapper helps a bit, it doesn't provide full functionality like the Hypershift feature that Razer offers. I want to find a new mouse that has a similar ergonomic design but allows me to completely remap the buttons on board, without needing any extra software. Any recommendations?

You might want to check out some community resources. The migration page has a ton of info, and you can usually find more tips linked in discussions related to hardware compatibility.

You might want to check out the Logitech G502. It works really well with Linux when paired with Piper and libratbag, and it supports full onboard button remapping. Sounds like it could be a great option for you!

I've used the G502 before, but I had some issues with the wheel. That might push me back to the Basilisk. Still, good to know it works well with Linux!

Have you tried using imwheel? It’s a tool that helps you reprogram mouse buttons. I found it useful a while back, but you might want to test it out to see if it fits your needs.
