I'm in the market for a new PC since my ex took our old one. I'm currently learning SolidWorks and want to set up a home workstation for CAD and 3D printing, as well as gaming. I live near a Microcenter, so buying from there is a possibility. I'm hoping to get some suggestions on builds that would fit within a $1-2.5k budget for the best value to meet these needs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

For CAD/CAM work, you don't need anything over the top. Check out this build from Microcenter: [link]. If gaming is also a priority, consider investing in a stronger GPU for better performance. It's a solid starting point, but there are plenty of options depending on what's available at your local store.
If you want to play the latest games, especially open-world RPGs, you'll want a decent GPU to avoid feeling like you need an upgrade right away. A good starting point for a GPU would be something like the GTX 3060 or RX 6600. It's enough to handle most new titles without breaking the bank.
