I'm now leading a team at an MSP, and we manage numerous EC2 and RDS instances, but my main focus is on our on-premises backup strategies. Right now, we're using a Veeam perpetual license along with some scripting to back up to an S3 bucket after local backups. We also have Cove from N-able, which seems to be functioning well. For our workstations, we rely on a grandfathered unlimited Acronis account.
These solutions have been operational for a while, but all three are offering some attractive new features like cloud restore options for disaster recovery. Now, I'm looking to consolidate our backup solutions across all clients to a single platform that provides a good balance between cost, features, and storage pricing. What backup solutions would you recommend?

You might want to check out BDRShield since it provides cloud restore capabilities and decent disaster recovery features, especially at competitive pricing for smaller to mid-sized setups. Just make sure it covers the advanced functionalities you need before making any drastic changes.
If you have questions about Acronis, feel free to ask. Since you’re in the MSP biz now, I’d also suggest checking out the MSP community for insights.
Consider what a VAR can provide. The landscape has evolved with some excellent overlapping backup products out there like Acronis, Rubric, Veeam, Nakivo, Commvault, Cohesity, and Datto, to name a few. I prefer solutions that offer appliances because they often provide better features. One backup utility I worked with utilized multiple devices using Ceph for storage, allowing for a virtual machine to float on top of that, with pushes to the cloud encrypted and deduplicated. Appliances aren’t always cheap, but they can be quite effective.
Have you looked into Acronis Cyber Protect? Their pricing model for servers, endpoints, and cloud instances is quite competitive, and it even has failover capabilities. They offer an on-prem version too, which might be essential since you work in a medical facility where all data must stay on-site while also being secure. If you're exploring more cloud-native options, I can share those as well.
I’ve reached out to all the platforms we’re currently using for their features and pricing. Cove seemed less than excited when I mentioned reviewing options. I’ve been checking out the latest from Acronis and Veeam, both of which are rolling out new features. We have a hardened on-prem repo and a secondary site through SD-WAN that’s also fortified. I’d love any recommendations for cloud backup solutions you might have, and thanks for your insights!
