Looking for a USB WiFi Adapter Under $30

Hey everyone! I recently rebuilt my PC and totally forgot to grab a WiFi card. I went out and bought a Netgear one at Best Buy for $70, but I'm not impressed. My latency was around 150 ms and speeds were under 10 Mbps. After tweaking some settings, I managed to get the latency down to about 50 ms and speeds up to around 300 Mbps by switching to 5G and 802.11ax. However, my connection still isn't hitting the expected speeds of 500 Mbps. Since I just need a simple USB WiFi adapter with a decent antenna—because I'm two rooms away from the router—and want to stick to a budget of $30, any recommendations would be awesome! If you need more info, just let me know!

If you’re not sure about the router, I’d suggest looking for a USB WiFi adapter that supports both 802.11AX and AC. They tend to perform better, especially over longer distances. Plus, check reviews focusing on range and stability as they’re crucial when you're far from the router.
