Looking for Advice on Building a Budget Gaming PC for Skyrim

Hey everyone! I'm new to the PC building scene and I'm clueless about where to start. I'm mostly looking to build a budget-friendly PC, somewhere between $500-$600, maybe up to $700 if necessary, specifically to play Skyrim on high settings with a good handful of mods. I've always been a PlayStation player, so this whole process is totally foreign to me. I'm open to learning how to build it myself, but I'd also appreciate any recommendations for pre-built options or someone who could help me choose the right parts. Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide!

You’ve got the right idea with your budget and purpose! Just a quick question—do you need to buy a monitor, keyboard, and mouse too? And are you planning on using a controller to play Skyrim? You can actually reuse your PS4/PS5 controller on PC!

I believe I have a screen I can use but I can also buy one if needed. I would definitely be using a controller.

Honestly, watch some YouTube videos! There are tons of excellent beginner guides out there that can really help you understand the process. I wish I had access to that back in the day instead of just magazines!

I recommend visiting logicalincrements.com to get a good overview of what parts you might need. It’s a helpful starting point even if I haven’t built exactly what you’re looking for.
