Looking for Advice on My First PC Build

Hey everyone! I'm diving into my first PC build and could use some guidance. Right now, I primarily game on a PS5, playing titles like Battlefield, and I'm excited for the upcoming Battlefield 6 and GTA 6. I'd like my new PC to handle these games, especially aiming for 1440p/4K in competitive shooters and full 4K for story-driven games. I'll also be using it for video and photo editing with DaVinci Resolve and Lightroom, so I'm looking to balance performance between gaming and productivity. I've put together a parts list with some help, and my budget is around £2,500 (+/- £100). I'm aiming for a minimal design—no flashy RGB, just something simple with white lighting. Here's my list for review: [https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/CKhDRV](https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/CKhDRV?utm_source=chatgpt.com). Would appreciate any thoughts on whether it makes sense or if you have suggestions for better components! Thanks!

It looks like you're off to a solid start! I noticed that the 5080 GPU might not be the best bang for your buck. You'd still be upscaling to get to 4K, so something like the 5070 Ti or the 9070 XT could save you a lot—plus, they still have 16GB of VRAM. For your CPU, the one you've chosen fits your needs well, but if you're thinking of productivity, an X3D model might give you a bit more power. If you want to save on the GPU, sticking with the 9900 would be a good call. Overall, your picks seem pretty appropriate for both gaming and editing!

Thanks for the insight! I was leaning toward the 9900 because I heard it's better for my usage, and I appreciate your GPU suggestions. Keeping within budget while ensuring good performance is tricky, but I definitely want this build to last a few years!
