I've been doing some research on a new gaming build since I want to play games at 2K resolution and also use ExoCad. Here's what I'm considering so far:
- CPU: Intel 14600K - $230
- GPU: ASUS Prime 5070 - $900 (might be too pricey for what I want)
- Motherboard: I'm open to recommendations
- RAM: DDR5, 2x16 GB (not sure on speed or brand yet)
- SSD: No idea which one to choose
- Case: I'm starting from scratch here
- Power Supply: No clue what to look for
- CPU Cooler: Also need guidance here
I chose Intel because it's cheaper than Ryzen in my area, and for the GPU, I prefer Nvidia as it's better suited for my needs. I'm a total newbie, so any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Check out this build I put together: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/hT4dzP. It’s optimized for your parts, and if you're considering, you might want to upgrade to a 2TB SSD instead. Just be aware that adding RGB RAM or an AIO cooler will bump up the cost a bit. Don't forget about case fans too!
If you're outside the US, paying $900 for a 5070 seems steep, but that might just be the reality where you are. Keep an eye out for local deals or online retailers; maybe you can find it for less!
Yeah, unfortunately, that’s the best price I found around here. Other brands like Galax or Gainward have cheaper options at around $720.
What do you think of using an MSI Pro Z790-S WiFi with a 1700 socket and DDR5 6600MHz for the motherboard?
