We're a startup with a fully remote team, and we're in need of a mobile device management (MDM) software. Specifically, we want something affordable or even free that can help us lock or wipe our company PCs if necessary. Any recommendations would be really appreciated!

MDM and "small business" might not seem like a perfect match. However, I'd recommend ManageEngine. It's from Zoho, so it can be hit or miss, but it generally does the job and is quite budget-friendly. Think of it as the fast-food version of software!
I use Manage Engine, which is free for up to 25 devices. It's a solid choice for small setups.
It really depends on your Microsoft licensing, but Intune might be an option. Just keep in mind that while it can lock a Windows machine, users have the ability to unlock it, so it's not foolproof.
Absolute is another good option. It’s affordable and works on both macOS and Windows systems. Just a heads up, though—Intune can't actually remotely brick a Windows device.
