Looking for Alternative CPUs for My Build

Hey everyone, I've been having some trouble with my PC. It wouldn't turn on at all, just the RGB lights on the RAM were working. After taking it to a repair guy, he managed to get it on, but there's still no display. He mentioned that it could be an issue with the RAM, CPU, or motherboard. I already replaced the RAM, and that didn't fix anything. He reset the battery as well. Now I'm at a point where I need to try replacing the CPU. I currently have an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, but I can't seem to find it on the AMD website or at Best Buy or Micro Center. I need a replacement pretty quickly, so if anyone has suggestions for CPUs with similar performance, that would be awesome. Here's a link to my build for reference: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Jjxdsp.

It sounds like you went to a pretty questionable repair shop. If he couldn't troubleshoot properly, I'd be worried about his skills! Anyway, if you need a CPU, you can consider the Ryzen 5 5700X or 5800X—both would be solid replacements. Just keep in mind that they may be harder to find since they aren’t in production anymore. Also, the 5600 (without the X) is very similar in performance and might be cheaper. Good luck!

Yeah, I’d definitely look for the 5700X or even check out the 5600 if you're in a pinch. Good performance for the price!

If you’re just looking for something that works quickly, the 5600 is nearly identical in terms of performance compared to the 5600X and usually comes at a lower price. Just make sure it fits in your motherboard!

Thanks, that’s really useful info! I’ll keep that in mind.
