Hi everyone! I'm a dedicated father of two, and I want to prioritize my kids' needs. Because of this, my budget for myself is pretty tight. I'm in the market for an affordable GPU that can handle 1080p gaming. Can anyone recommend some good options I might be able to find without breaking the bank? Also, if you know any places that might offer donations for a GPU, that would be super helpful!

Honestly, even the Nvidia 1000 series is still solid for 1080p games. I have a 1070 and you can usually snag one for under $100. They can still run most games pretty well, so it's a great option!
The used GPU market is definitely on the pricey side right now, but if you can manage it, something like a 3060 or 3060 Ti can be found for under $300. It's worth it if you want something that's going to last and perform well in modern games.
There's a bunch of decent GPUs you can find used for about $75-$100, like the RX 6600, GTX 1650 or 1660, RTX 2060, and Vega 56 or 64. Just look for something with 8GB of VRAM from the last few years, and you should be good!
If you're looking for something for free, I just built a new PC and have an Nvidia 1060 lying around. It's pretty old, but it should handle some classic games at 1080p. Let me know if you're interested!

Totally agree! I had a GTX 1060 that lasted me nearly a decade with proper care. Maybe save up a bit for a 2060 or 2070 if you can, since they’re a bit more future-proof.
