Looking for an Anonymous Phone Line Vendor

Hey everyone, our Compliance team needs to set up an anonymous phone line that can not only hide all incoming calls but also allow for leaving anonymous voicemails. We've tried integrating with Intermedia and Teams, but that doesn't meet our needs since all VOIP is routed through Intermedia behind the scenes. We're looking for a completely separate vendor for this purpose, but I'm having trouble finding options. Any suggestions?

The suggestion about using a third-party service is spot on for maintaining transparency. Even if you find an in-house solution, there's always a risk perception that it might not be fully anonymous. Documenting contracts and processes is key to clearing up any concerns if they arise later.

I've noticed that there are some full-service anonymous tip line providers with forms and reporting features. Just be cautious about how you authenticate submitters while keeping them anonymous—it can get complicated.

Sounds like you might need a third-party service for that! Companies like AllVoices specialize in creating anonymous tip-off lines for ethics or fraud reporting, which could be exactly what your Compliance team needs. They handle everything while keeping submissions truly anonymous, which is crucial for sensitive issues.

Totally agree! It's important for these calls to be managed by an external provider to ensure there's no chance of revealing the caller's identity.

If you're considering a technical solution, a few SIP trunking providers offer options to strip caller ID info. Just check for one available in your country. Usually, incoming calls register as 'anonymous' in the SIP invite, so you might need some setup there.

Thanks for the tip! I heard that using Asterisk VOIP software can help with customizing the SIP forwarding, which sounds like it could work for us.
