We have a policy in place that blocks USB and removable storage devices for security reasons, but there are several employees who need to take photos or document issues without a company smartphone. We previously used cameras that support MTP (Media Transfer Protocol), which allowed us to bypass these restrictions, but finding affordable MTP-compatible cameras has become increasingly difficult. Does anyone have recommendations or insights on this issue, particularly for cameras priced under $200?

It's a good idea to have an exception process for these situations, but I think we might see MTP support fading away as more devices drop it. You might want to consider professional-grade compact cameras that still offer MTP, though they might be a bit pricier than $200. Best of luck!
Do you allow users to attach images in emails? If so, that could be a workaround for your team while you search for a suitable camera.
Yeah, we do allow email attachments, which helps a bit!
We go through a similar process! We block all external storage and just create exceptions as needed for specific cases.
