Looking for Budget-Friendly Monitor Recommendations

I'm in the process of setting up a new gaming rig and I'm almost there! The only thing I still need is advice on a monitor. I'm a bit torn on whether I should prioritize higher resolution or a higher refresh rate. Are there any budget options that strike a balance between both? My budget isn't too high, so I'd appreciate any suggestions that keep that in mind.

If you’re on a tight budget like I was, I picked up a 27" Acer Nitro for around $200 a couple of years back and I’m really pleased with it. The one I have is model XV271U M3BMIIPRX, and it won't disappoint!

Totally agree! I have two Acer Nitro monitors myself, and for the price, they offer amazing performance—1440p and 144hz is a sweet spot.

I’d suggest leaning toward refresh rate, especially if you enjoy fast-paced games. The MSI Mag 244F is awesome at 200hz for FHD, and they have an affordable 2K version too for a bit more.

Before you decide, figure out which matters more to you, resolution or refresh rate. Also, check your PC specs to see what it can handle. If you prioritize both, make sure your PC is up to snuff for it! Look for a monitor that meets your needs without breaking the bank.

Check out the Dell G2725D. It’s around $139, has a 27" screen, 1440P resolution, and a 180Hz refresh rate. Honestly, that’s a great mix of quality and price without compromising either spec!

The G2724D might be worth considering too. It's similar in price but a bit better—just slightly lower on refresh rate at 165hz, which isn't a big deal.

If you’re having trouble finding the right monitor, I have a 1440p HP Omen monitor that I'm looking to sell. It’s a bit older, but it serves well for gaming!
