I'm trying to improve my gaming rig without spending too much. Here's what I've currently got:

- GeForce RTX 3050 GALAX EX 1 CLICK OC 6GB GDDR6
- AMD Ryzen 5 5600 with Wraith Stealth Cooler
- ASUS Prime B550M-A WiFi II motherboard
- GALAX Revolution 06 Case with 4 RGB fans
- GALAX Omega GL500S 500W 80+ Bronze Power Supply
- 8GB (1x8GB) Lexar Ares RGB 3200MHz DDR4 RAM
- Lexar NM610 PRO 1TB NVMe Gen 3 SSD

What upgrades would you recommend that won't break the bank?

If you're on a tight budget, upgrading to the RX 6600 XT would be wise, and if you really need more power, a 650W PSU could give you some headroom for future upgrades.

I recommend looking at options like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060. It offers a significant performance increase and stays within the safe range for your 500W power supply. Plus, it’s great for maximizing 1080p performance and can handle some light 1440p gaming, especially with DLSS 3 support.

If you're looking for a performance boost, consider upgrading your GPU to something like the RX 6600 XT or RX 5700 XT. They're more powerful than your current RTX 3050 and you might find them at a good price. Also, it would be great to bump up your RAM to at least 16GB if you can swing it.
