I've been using the same old HP computer from Amazon since I was 13, and now that I'm 18, it's finally broken down. I really need to get a new one soon because I rely on my computer for work and music production. However, my budget is pretty tight—around $650. If anyone has suggestions for a decent PC that can run Ableton and handle some mid-level games, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

You might want to check out used options in your area because new builds at that price can be tough. If you’re just gaming and doing work, a console could be an option, but if you need a computer for more than games, stick to finding a good PC.
Honestly, the PC options you’re looking at might be a bit outdated. You could check out places like Costco, BJs, or Walmart for some great deals on modern computers that won't break the bank.
It's true! This HP option is from quite a while ago. Try looking on local marketplaces for something a bit newer without spending too much. You can often snag good deals there.
I found a couple of great options for you: For about $460, you could get a Gaming PC with an i7 8700 and RX 5700, which is one of the best deals out there right now. For $650, there's an HP Pavilion Gaming PC with an i5 10400F and RTX 3060, plus a lot of RAM and both SSD and HDD storage. Not bad at all!
That's funny because the HP Pavilion is the exact model I have now!
Just a heads up, I've heard mixed things about HP lately. You might want to consider alternatives.
I was definitely thinking about going for a used PC. A console isn't really what I need since my computer is for work all the time.
