Looking for Build Advice for a High-End Gaming Setup

Hey folks! I'm in the process of building a high-end gaming PC and could really use your insights. I'm aiming for components that can last over 5 years without needing an upgrade. Right now, I'm considering the AMD 9800X3D along with the Asrock B850m Steel Legend motherboard. I'm also hoping to make room for a future upgrade to a Gen 5 NVME SSD and want to include WiFi 7 support.

My gaming goal is to play at 4K but I'm fine with dropping down to 1440p for better performance. For the GPU, I'm looking at the 5070 Ti since it fits my budget.

Do you think it's worth it to cut back on extras like a second SSD to fit a 5080 in my build? Also, would a 1000 watt PSU be a good choice for longevity? I'd love any tips or suggestions to enhance my setup! Thanks!

I recommend skipping the second SSD for now; you can always add more storage later if you need it. The 5070 Ti should be around $830, and I'd suggest going with 6000mhz cl30 RAM for the best performance. As for the PSU, a solid 1000W option for about $150 would be a good investment.

I totally hear you! Just to let you know, I’m looking at prices in Australia, so I’m seeing the 9800X3D for about $560 USD. The 5070 Ti is around $942 and the cheapest 5080 is $1310. Do you think it's worth paying for the 5080 in this case?
